General Ledger Operations Manager – Budapest (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced GL professional ready to take ownership of a large-scale finance operation? We are looking for a
General Ledger Operations Manager
to lead and develop a
40-member finance team
and drive the transformation of our European GL processes into a best-in-class center in Budapest.

This is a key leadership role with strong impact, broad responsibility and the opportunity to shape future finance operations across multiple countries.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, inspire and grow a GL-focused team of approx. 40 finance professionals
  • Take an active role in transitioning GL and related processes from European entities to Hungary
  • Ensure smooth migration and integration of process models into SAP ECC
  • Oversee day-to-day GL operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely results
  • Drive standardization, harmonization and continuous improvement across all supported countries
  • Implement development and technology-enabled enhancements that elevate process quality
  • Represent the function, present strategic directions and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Support the development of team leads and specialists, nurturing a high-performance culture
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with business partners

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience in a financial SSC
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
  • Solid background in
    GL or R2R operations
  • Advantage: transition/migration experience
  • Strong SAP (or other ERP) knowledge
  • Excellent English skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize effectively and communicate with confidence
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a strong sense of ownership
