Position Overview

We are seeking a 
strategic and hands-on Managing Director (Dealer Principal)
to lead the operations of a 
multi-brand, multi-site automotive dealer group
. This pivotal role oversees the full scope of dealership operations across 
new and used vehicle sales
, 
aftersales
, and 
customer service
. The ideal candidate is a 
proven business leader
 with a deep understanding of automotive retail and dealership management — capable of driving performance, profitability, and customer excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a 
    growth-oriented business plan
     across all brands and sites
  2. Oversee 
    daily operations
     including sales, service, parts, finance, and administration
  3. Align all dealership activities with 
    OEM standards
    , business goals, and compliance protocols
  4. Lead a 
    cross-functional team
     of 40+ employees, including departmental leaders
  5. Drive a 
    culture of performance, accountability, and customer-centric service
  6. Ensure consistent delivery of 
    KPIs, profitability targets
    , and brand expectations
  7. Collaborate with 
    OEM partners
     on volume planning, marketing, and operational improvement
  8. Implement 
    cost control and efficiency
     initiatives across the group
  9. Manage 
    key supplier and manufacturer relationships
    , including contract negotiations
  10. Build and maintain 
    high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
     through service innovation
  11. Lead the 
    launch or expansion
     of new brand sites or retail facilities within the group

Candidate Requirements

  1. Extensive experience as 
    Managing Director / General Manager / Dealer Principal
    in automotive retail
  2. Strong 
    commercial acumen
     and full 
    P&L ownership
     experience
  3. Demonstrated success managing 
    multi-brand dealership operations
  4. Track record of 
    team leadership
    , talent development, and succession planning
  5. Fluent in Hungarian
     and confident English communication skills
  6. Strategic, structured, and 
    resilient
    , with a hands-on operational approach
  7. Familiarity with 
    OEM processes
     and dealership systems (e.g., DMS, CRM)
  8. High standards of 
    integrity, professionalism
    , and a passion for delivering results
