We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to join our small but growing finance team. The Financial Controller will be supporting the CFO for overseeing the financial aspects of our organization and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have excellent analytical skills with a strong hands-on approach.

We currently operate offices in Budapest (HQ, R&D), Berlin, Singapore, San Francisco, and Paris.

Your mission will be

  • Implement and maintain the financial components of a groupwide ERP system.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external accounting firms and support the CFO by prepare entity based and consolidated monthly financial reporting packages.
  • Work closely with other financial admins & oversee the P2P, Order to Cash cycles: outgoing- and incoming invoices with the payment cycles to ensure accurate and appropriate bookings, financial KPIs Cash Flow management.
  • Be in the driving seat, liaise with external accounting companies locally and internationally, to oversee the preparation of legal entities' annual financial statements.
  • Work with external auditors the annual audit processes both in Europe and internationally, providing necessary documentation.
  • Work with the CFO on create and manage budgets, work closely with various departments to gather information and make projections for future financial performance.
  • Assist the CFO to implement, improve establish and monitor internal control systems.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Hungarian accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience in international accounting and reporting and consolidation processes.
  • Excellent in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, precise, and detail-oriented with a focus on precise execution of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English, must have Hungarian.

Nice to have

  • Strong knowledge of international accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Experience with SME aimed financial software, e.g., Odoo
