POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Project-based working with the focus on
    PCR test kit development projects in the food and feed industry.
  • Design, develop and establish manufacturing and QC processes for manufacturing.
  • Support design transfer and regular production activities.
  • Ensure products meet approved specifications and standards through adequate verification and validation practices.
  • Communicating with internal departments and external stakeholders (incl. laboratory partners, suppliers) with the aim of developing new products based on our clients' needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of prototype PCR test kits following internal new product development protocol and international standards.
  • Participation in the
    development, transfer and production establishment of PCR kits designed to identify various DNA targets e.g. food pathogens or GMO events.
  • Verification of product conformity with product requirement criteria.
  • Translation of lab scale processes into standard and scalable manufacturing workflows. Advise possible production improvements and product maintenance in later stages.
  • Preparation of validation documents in accordance with internal new product development regulations.
  • Training technical experts and manufacturing / QC technicians on the newly developed and validated manufacturing and QC methods / procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MSc degree in a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant position.
  • Experience in coordination of complex development project.
  • Strong background in molecular biology methods
    (including RT-PCR, in-silico sequence analysis, PCR system design).
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
  • Fluent English

ADVANTAGES:

  • Experience in manufacturing of PCR kits and biochemistry knowledge is a plus.
