Junior Scrum Master

About the Role

Embark on an exciting journey in the mobile gaming industry by joining our Software Development team as a Junior Scrum Master This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to kickstart their career in Agile. While you should have a basic understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework, we are mostly looking for someone with a "can-do" attitude who is ready to learn on the job.

As a key member of our team, you will report to our Iteration Manager. Over time, you'll get the chance to take the lead in supporting product and development teams. Your role is all about helping the team work better together, keeping everyone motivated, and making sure we deliver high-quality work in the fast-paced world of mobile gaming

Main Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum Events: Help organize and run Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Pipeline Management: Ensure the team always has a clear list of tasks ready to work on next.
• Team Collaboration: Help teammates talk to each other more effectively and work better as a unit.
• Remove Blockers: Help the team identify and clear away any "impediments" (problems) that are slowing them down.
• Keep the Focus: Make sure the team stays focused on the most important goals each sprint.
• Support the Product Owner: Work together to keep the Product Backlog organized and prioritized.
• Agile Champion: Encourage the team to follow Scrum values and Agile ways of working.
• Process Improvement: Look for small ways to help the team improve their daily habits and practices.
• Be the "Go-To" Person: Become the team's expert on Scrum, ready to help answer questions about how we work.

Required Skills and Experiences

• Great Communicator: You are good at talking to people and building positive relationships.
• Empathy: You have high emotional intelligence and care about how your teammates are doing.
• Servant Leader: You prefer leading by helping and supporting others rather than just giving orders.
• Curiosity: You are a creative thinker who loves to learn and always wants to find a better way to do things.
• Agile Basics: You have a clear and demonstrable understanding of Agile and Scrum basics.

Desired but not essential (would be a plus)

• An interest in or familiarity with mobile games.
• Basic knowledge of other Agile methods.
• A general understanding of how software is made (e.g., testing, coding basics, or DevOps).
• A Scrum Master certification (like CSM or PSM I).
