Senior Category Manager – Windows & Doors (Strategic Procurement | New Business Line)


Location: Hungary (Nationwide travel involved)


Partner: One of Hungary's leading building materials retail networks

About the Opportunity

This is
not
your typical procurement role.

Our partner – a major nationwide building materials retailer – is launching a brand-new
Windows & Doors business line
. They are looking for a senior professional who can not only manage procurement activities, but also play a key role in
shaping the long-term strategy and building the business from the ground up
.

If you enjoy combining hands-on supplier management with strategic thinking, this role gives you real impact, ownership, and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the
    Windows & Doors product category
  • Leading supplier negotiations, contract management, and portfolio development
  • Identifying new suppliers and product opportunities both locally and internationally
  • Active involvement in defining the strategic direction of the new business unit
  • Regular visits to regional branches and building strong relationships with SME partners
  • Conducting market analysis and supporting the preparation of campaigns and promotions

What You Bring


3–5+ years of experience
in procurement or category management

Hands-on experience in the
windows & doors / building materials
segment

Strong communication skills in
English

Mobility and openness to
regular site visits

A proactive mindset – not afraid to build new processes and challenge the status quo
