Join a team focused on building and operating the backbone of a global compute environment. This group designs, implements, and supports Linux and virtualization platforms that power critical services and large-scale production systems. Ownership spans hypervisor platforms, Linux operating systems, configuration management, and foundational services such as DNS, DHCP, and NTP, along with high-availability and virtualization management technologies.

We're searching for a developer who thrives in an infrastructure-centric role—someone who writes clean, reliable code but prefers shaping systems over working in a pure software-engineering track. This role centers on enhancing and operating a global VMware environment, creating provisioning solutions, and developing tools that simplify configuration and management for both administrators and developers. You will build APIs and command-line interfaces that streamline workflows and support a highly automated compute ecosystem.

Core Skills Required

  • Python (secure, testable, robust code)
  • Linux (deep knowledge, including UNIX system calls)
  • Modern tooling (Git, Jenkins, Agile methods, CI/CD practices)
  • SQL and database programming
  • Large-scale modular development (projects of 10k+ lines)
