Thanks to the increasing demand for high-quality compliance services, Tax Desk has rapidly grown to a team of over 40 professionals specializing in tax compliance and technology., We are seeking a candidate with advanced German language proficiency and a strong willingness to learn. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve managing processes related to German-speaking Tax Authorities and affiliates. These tasks include VAT registration, handling notifications, filing tax returns, and communicating with the Tax Authorities regarding matters such as client company detail updates and tax audits. You will serve as a vital link between clients at Tax Desk and the Tax Authorities or affiliates, ensuring effective communication and seamless information flow to the appropriate parties. Your work will be supported by the Client Manager and VAT Reporting Teams, who will provide you with relevant client data and reports as needed.

One of Tax Desk’s key objectives is technological advancement. Since Tax Authorities, as public institutions, often rely on manual processes, innovation in this area is essential. Tax Desk is actively working to automate repetitive tasks, enabling our team to focus on higher-value activities. You will need to familiarize yourself with our operational processes and collaborate with the technology team to drive improvements and efficiencies.

Currently, Tax Desk focuses on services in VAT (Value Added Tax), CESOP (Reporting of payment data from payment service providers to the Central Electronic System of Payment information), and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility). However, we aim to expand into additional areas. Given Germany’s significant role as a major European market, demand for compliance services in the country is high. In addition to German operations, you will also contribute to other country-specific processes based on workload and demand. For instance, before launching new services, you will gather and analyze information on services, legislation, processes, and potential partners in Italy and assist with their implementation.

You will be part of a specialized sub-team focused on key countries critical to our operations. While there are similarities in processes and legislation across EU countries, each jurisdiction has unique characteristics. Your colleagues and team leader will provide guidance on mastering these processes, finding answers to complex questions, and supporting your journey toward becoming a successful indirect tax professional., We are looking for someone who:
  • Is fluent in English and German.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and investigative approach to problem-solving.
  • Is eager to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving field.
  • Has proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
  • Excels in stakeholder management, prioritization, and communication.
