Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Estée Lauder Kereskedelmi Kft. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to our in-house manufacturers and third-party facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure required delivery dates are met and resolve escalated issues within the execution horizon.
  • Provide visibility into material constraints, changes to supplier delivery dates, and any bottlenecks to the Global MPS Planner/TPM Planner.
  • Manage and track purchase orders, including ordering, expediting, de-expediting, and canceling, and follow up and escalate as necessary.
  • Manage EMQ - Order High/Order Low process and re-deploy materials globally across distribution centers and sites.
  • Manage and track material expiration, labeling materials, and organizing through rotation and cycle counts.
  • Undertake material requirements planning, confirm purchase requests, issue POs, and track automatic POs issuance to support finished goods production plans and maintain finished goods supply.
  • Identify and understand supply (material/components) risk, develop an action plan to resolve and/or reduce the risk.
  • Validate operational/strategic horizon material/component requirement at commodity level and provide visibility to strategic suppliers. Work with GSR to secure supplier capacity information.
  • Conduct regular demand/delfor reviews with suppliers to help identify any potential supply issues in the future.
  • Check planning parameters are correct and up to date.
  • Implement phase out/phase in procedure to ensure efficient management; minimizing excess/obsolescence.
  • Support identification of opportunities to increase agility, i.e., PDT or MLS reduction with suppliers.
  • Resolve escalated issues within the execution horizon, such as expedite/de-expedite, volume change, etc., to support material schedulers.
  • Manage de-expedites of orders working with Material Scheduler, and cancellation charges with suppliers (liability orders).
  • Train new employees on system and processes.
  • Act as the lead for any new process improvements and rollouts.
  • Act as the SME for the site for all GBS and Analyst functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Operations Research, or related field.
  • 5 years of related experience in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in material planning, supply planning, sourcing/purchasing, and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with supply planning and supplier collaboration tools (e.g., SAP, E2Open, Kinaxis, etc.).
  • Ability to solve issues and be agile in reacting and responding to changes.
  • Experience with Supplier Negotiations/Customer service a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders (i.e., GSR, TPM, external suppliers).
  • Expertise and experience with supply chain materials management.
  • Strong understanding of planning concept and system settings to drive desired results.
