Job Title: Customs Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Compliance Manager to lead our customs operations and drive excellence in customs processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for controlling daily import and export business fulfillment, optimizing customs processes, and ensuring compliance with EU Directives and Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to control daily import and export business fulfillment, including operation, EMS qualification, and tax treatment.
  • Control and optimize EMS and LSP customs processes, effectively manage regular monthly checking, and organize spot audits.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of EU Directives and Regulations, including HS classification, Dual-use, F-Gas, CBAM, and manage license extensions.
  • Be the owner of existing SOP/procedures, ensure parties agreements, and maintain related documents (POA, SOP, etc.).
  • Contact window to Customs Authorities, take part in government-initiated customs audits, and manage escalations of trade- and customs issues.
  • Effectively manage ESC (HUN, NL, SI) customs risks, organize training sessions to the logistics team and other departments involved.
  • Work closely with regional customs compliance manager/team (e.g., RCCM) and report key issues, follow up procedure implementations, and actions.

Requirements:

  • Preferable MSc degree in economics/logistics management or international trade, relevant customs education.
  • Proven track record in Customs management at a multinational manufacturing/logistics company and/or customs authority.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Good learning ability, strong work initiative, spirit of teamwork.
  • Open to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Negotiation level of English, native Hungarian speaking.
  • Good understanding of ERP/Customs systems, MS Office package.
