Find out more about our mission to bring health in your hands at About the Job We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Closing and Reporting Accountant to join our Global Business Services team in Budapest. In this role, you will ensure accurate general ledger accounting, monthly closing, and reporting for CHC entities, while supporting both local and global compliance requirements. You will supervise junior accountants, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services across Opella. Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver GL accounting, closing, and reporting services in line with CHC policies and group timelines.
  • Perform corporate reporting and support management, legal, and statutory reporting at both group and country levels.
  • Ensure reconciliation of accounts and booking of Manual Journal Entries (MJEs).
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and financial analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with operational KPIs.
  • Execute leasing and fixed asset accounting activities.
  • Supervise junior accountants and coach them to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements to enhance service efficiency.
About You
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in closing and reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs.
    • Hands-on expertise in GL accounting and month-end closing processes.
    • Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
    • Ability to coach and lead junior team members.
    • Effective communication and customer service orientation.
    • Transversal mindset and ability to work across geographies and cultures.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
