ABOUT THE JOB

Ceva seeks applicants for the full-time position of Unit Leader in the Fermentation Team within the Value Stream Management in Fermentation Directory of Ceva’s Phlyaxia Campus in Budapest’s 10th district. This is a hybrid role that offers 10 days of home office opportunities monthly.
The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The Fermentation focuses on cultivating microorganisms and producing desired bioactive compounds that serve as raw materials for drug development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Fermentation Focus Factory Leader, you will managing a fermentation-based aseptic vaccine production unit in a GMP environment involves overseeing daily operations, aligning production with quality, maintenance, EHS, and supply processes, and contributing to production planning. Additionally, the role includes people management, participating in process development and industrialization, and preparing for authority inspections and customer audits.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Management of a fermentation based aseptic (vaccine) production unit (20-30 people) in a GMP environment
  • Organization and control of daily operations
  • Management, and people development of subordinates (3-5 people)
  • Management of medium-term strategic tasks
  • Connecting operational production with quality, maintenance, EHS and supply processes
  • Contribution to the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual production plans
  • Communication within the unit
  • Performance Management – operation and improvement of Tier system, interpretation and montoring of KPIs
  • People Management – feedback and development
  • Involved in process development and industrialization
  • Keep financial indicators (budget) on target
  • Preparation for, participation in, and execution of authority inspections and customer’s audit

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • (Relevant university degree (MSc, BSc: biology, bioengineering, microbiology, food engineering, chemical engineering, pharmacy, biology or similar science) or relevant (solution preparation) work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field (preferably in aseptic manufacturing, pharmaceutical, GMP, vaccine or biosimilar manufacturing)
  • 3 years of management experience (managing frontline managers)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Ability to put the interests of the team before your own objectives
  • Agility and proactivity
  • Structured mindset and ability to cope with stress
  • An open, positive and balanced personality
