Ceva seeks applicants for the full-time position of Unit Leader in the Virus Vaccine Formulation Team within the Value Stream Live Virus Directory of Ceva's Phlyaxia Campus in Budapest's 10th district. This is a hybrid role that offers 10 days of home office opportunities monthly.

The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The Formulation unit is Join Ceva-Phylaxia Zrt. as part of our live attenuated virus vaccine production team, working in our bulk formulation unit. You will play a key role in the formulation of viral vaccine bulk under strict GMP conditions, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the manufacturing of life-saving vaccines in a dynamic and innovative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to the Focus Factory Manager, you will be Responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the unit (GMP, quality, safety, hygiene) and meeting production deadlines. Leads a team of operational staff in a live-virus-based aseptic (vaccine) manufacturing facility, ensuring the team's performance, safety, and product quality. Oversees daily operations, strategic tasks, and coordinates production with quality, maintenance, EHS, and procurement processes while managing performance metrics and financial targets.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
  • Management of a live virus based aseptic (vaccine) manufacturing plant (20-30 people in a GMP environment
  • Organization and control of daily operations
  • Management and development of direct reports (2 persons)
  • Management of medium-term strategic tasks
  • Coordinate operational production with quality, maintenance, EHS and procurement processes
  • Preparing weekly, monthly and annual production plans
  • Communication within the team
  • Performance management - operating and developing Tier system, interpreting and monitoring KPIs
  • Staff management - feedback and development
  • Participation in process improvement and industrialization
  • Keeping financial indicators (budget) on target
  • Preparing, participating and conducting regulatory audits and client audits

, WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Relevant university degree (MSc, BSc: biology, bioengineering, microbiology, food engineering, chemical engineering, pharmacy, biology or similar science) or relevant (solution preparation) work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field (preferably in aseptic manufacturing, pharmaceutical, GMP, vaccine or biosimilar manufacturing)
  • 3 years of management experience (managing frontline managers)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Ability to put the interests of the team before your own objectives
  • Agility and proactivity
  • Structured mindset and ability to cope with stress
  • An open, positive and balanced personality

  • GMP knowledge and experience (Sterile Pharmaceutical Manufacturing EudraLex vol4 - Annex1 & Annex 5, Annex 11, Annex 15)
