Job Title: Contract and Statutory Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract and Statutory Coordinator to join our team at Hoya Lens Hungary ZRt. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the consistent management of all agreements, terms, and conditions, contracts, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee the contract management process, including the development of specific standards, contract negotiations, and document management.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure legal compliance and increase customer satisfaction by managing existing contracts, including termination and prolongation deadlines.
  • Contract Development: Draft and liaise with HQ legal counsel, sales representatives, and partners for all new contracts and sales agreements.
  • Contract Fulfillment: Control contractual obligation fulfillment of partners, especially concerning monthly reporting.
  • Database Management: Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.
  • Market Research: Perform appropriate market research to support contract development with best practices.
  • Contract Strategy: Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing or terms and conditions discussions, and obtain management input on timelines and deliverables.
  • Contract Drafting: Draft contractual provisions based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organizational needs and expectations.
  • Contract Review: Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.
  • Interface with Legal Consulting Firms: Interface with legal consulting firms.
  • Negotiation: Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations together with sales representatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards, and cost targets.
  • Negotiation Strategy: Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential risk of HVC from legal points of view.
  • Deliverables: Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues.
  • Contract Performance Review: Review contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous working experience as a Contract Manager or Lawyer for 2-3 years.
  • Education: University-level degree (BA/MA in Law).
  • Advantages: Experience of working in a multinational company and/or in the ophthalmic industry; experience with Middle East and/or Africa market conditions.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on-one and group situations. Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions. Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in English (speaking and writing) - French, Russian, or Arabic language knowledge is an advantage.
