Responsible for delivering an exceptional front desk service for our travelers in accordance with Grand Circle Cruise

Line (GCCL) standards, while contributing to a positive work environment.

Primary (Non-Exhaustive) Responsibilities:

•    Practicing GCCL values

•    Responsible for entire front desk area at night

•    Handling and resolving any queries during night

•    Ensuring security onboard through hourly safety rounds

•    Handling general administrative tasks for all departments

•    Assisting with cost, revenue, and inventory administration

•    Participating in extra duties (i.e. luggage and garbage handling, crew show, loading)

•    Any other duties advised by Assistant Hotel Manager/Hotel Manager

For the avoidance of any doubt the Crewmember agrees that that it is a non-exhaustive list of primary duties which the Company may reasonably amend from time to time in accordance with the exigencies of the company and the vessel on which the employee is working

Skills/Qualifications:

•    Hotel school diploma or basic education equivalent is preferred

•    Minimum two years of experience in the field of desired position, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant and/or hotel

•    Cruise ship experience is a plus

•    Excellent communication skills

•    Willingness to learn and progress

•    Strong organizational and computer skills

•    Fluency in English

•     Proven leadership abilities and communication skills

•     Strong organizational and computer skills

•     Two to four years work experience in hospitality in a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort, restaurant or passenger ship

•    Fluent command of English

What we offer:

•     Monthly basic salary transferred to a bank account of choice

•     Tip equally shared through all crew members, average of 900 EUR per month

•     Vacation days: every month you will earn vacation days on cumulative basis, after 3-4 months you will go on vacation for 14-42 days, in average management goes on vacation two times during the season, in addition January is usually unpaid vacation.

•     Insurance - management will receive private health insurance throughout the contract, accident and death and permanent and total disability, salary continuation is paid after sick leave longer than 42 days

•     Length of the contract: months, contract is seasonal

•     Travel expenses policy: we are refunding a maximum amount of 400 EUR after regular completion of contract. Employee has to arrange the travel on his/her own and needs to submit a travel expense report with original receipts for reimbursement

•     Double accommodation and food included free of charge

•     Internet on board: free of charge

•     Training period - while training period crew member is not entitled to tip

•     Please note that all contracts issued are Maltese seafarer contracts
