Requirements
  • Min. 2-years' experience in the house keeping department as an assistant manager

Role and Responsibilities
  • Relieving the Executive Housekeeper during any period of absence
  • Daily cleaning and servicing of up to 16 guests' cabins incl. turndown service and embarkation set up
  • Providing professional and courteous service according to the Company standards and procedures
  • Taking an active role in creating a positive environment between all departments onboard and encouraging an open and respectful communication
  • Assisting with evaluating the Housekeeping team and providing feedback to the Executive Housekeeper
  • Assisting with purchasing orders including equipment items and delivery control
  • Restocking of guest amenities as required
  • Maintaining cleanliness in public areas as instructed by the Supervisor.
  • Distributing material such as gift order to the assigned cabin
  • Maintaining proper storage of all linen, uniform, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensuring active involvement in reaching higher guest satisfaction, including participating in additional Entertainment activities as per Company standard
  • Retaining full knowledge of the daily program
  • Checking external laundered linen during linen change days and reporting deficiencies and discrepancies to the Supervisor
  • Carrying out daily laundry duties such as washing and ironing as per instructions
  • Handling guest and crew laundry as per Company standard
  • Welcoming and greeting of guests according to the Company standard
  • Performing special duties during additional events
  • Informing Supervisor immediately about any guest complaint
  • Keeping a record of breaking list and monitoring amount of breakage and damage and notifying Supervisor
  • Maintaining cleanliness front and back of the house according to HACCP regulations.
  • Ensuring correct handling of all equipment, machinery, and chemicals
  • Participating in all Safety Drills as per Captain's orders and ensuring solid knowledge of designated Safety role
  • Reporting any potential Safety hazards immediately
Side Tasks
  • Participating in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings
  • Fulfilling further job-related duties as instructed by the Supervisor, such as luggage service, loading, and garbage off-loading
  • Assisting with monthly inventories as per Supervisor's instruction
  • Assisting other departments as per Supervisor's instruction
  • Cleaning and polishing of china, glass, and silverware as instructed
Salary: starting salary in the first contract is 2.400€/month net

Contract type: Swiss, with all the benefits of the Swiss labour laws
