Role Purpose

We are looking today for a
Program Manager
to join our Digital Solutions & Services (DSS) team to be based in Europe, with significant experience to lead technical projects, drive activities across different departments to launch new solutions in the smart lighting field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulating, organising, monitoring and leading inter-connected projects
  • Formulating suitable strategies to deliver all program components on time and on budget
  • Co-ordinate cross-project activities
  • Lead other project managers
  • Apply change, risk and resource management
  • Assume responsibility for the program's success, people and vendors
  • Assess and report on program, performance and prepare progress reports
  • Coordinate all main functions involved: R&D, Quality, Marketing, Legal, Sourcing, Product management, strategy and sales and target marketing introduction date is met and all deliverables are of high quality
  • When needed project manage pilot projects of beyond lighting projects in which we test and trial new to the world solutions together with customers in real world situations

Person specification and background

  • Master degree level, engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager
  • Personality type: structured and highly methodological, able to bring people along on a journey and out of their comfort zone, able to challenge existing ways of doing things based on structured arguments and understanding the objective of the current approach. Able to lead through leadership and best practice
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Good knowledge of both agile and waterfall project management
  • Experience delivering new to the world propositions including product development, go to market strategy and mass production
  • Experience launching new products combining hardware and cloud software services
  • Likely backgrounds include: Automotive, Aeronautics, hardware start-ups, IT hardware companies, corporate venturing, units of large corporate, sketch to mass production R&D houses, product development consultancies
  • Excellent leader with experience of managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner
  • Tactical and strategically minded with a can do attitude to problem solving and able to think out of the box
  • Excel knowledge of MS Office and working knowledge of Program/Project management tools
  • English mandatory, other EU languages would be a strong advantage
