  • Management of existing contracts including termination and prolongation deadlines
  • Drafting and liaison to HQ legal counsel, sales representative and partners for all new contracts and sales agreements  
  • Control of contractual obligation fulfilment of partners, especially concerning monthly reporting
  • Oversee organizational contract development and management activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
  • Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained. Establish or further improve that database.
  • Develop standards for contracts, including payment terms, general language and provisions,
  • Perform appropriate market research to support contract development with best practices.
  • Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing or terms and conditions discussions, and obtain management input on timelines and deliverables.
  • Draft contractual provisions based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organizational needs and expectations.
  • Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.
  • Interface with legal consulting firms.
  • Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations together with sales representative.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential risk of HVC from legal point of views.
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues. HOYA
  • Review contractual performance of both parties to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal.

  • Previous working experience as a Contract Manager or Lawyer for 2-3 years
  • University level degree (BA/MA in Law)
  • Advantages: experience of working in a multinational company and/or in the ophthalmic industry; experience with Middle East and/or Africa market conditions
  • Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on- one and group situations.
  • Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing) - French, Russian or Arabic language knowledge is an advantage
