Mechanical Engineer Structural Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in structural analysis to join our team at Flowserve. As a Mechanical Engineer Structural Analysis, you will be responsible for performing in-depth structural mechanical and rotor dynamic analysis on various product lines, including valves, pumps, and seals.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform structural and vibration engineering analyses on products to ensure design adequacy and compliance with applicable design requirements.
- Execute the impact of design modifications on structural design and perform finite element analysis (FEA) to determine stress, strain, and natural frequencies.
- Review and evaluate customer specifications and supplier quotations related to technical acceptability of mechanical design.
- Assess FEA results against customer specifications, industry, and Flowserve design standards and procedures for fatigue life and dynamic stability.
- Compile design reports in compliance with ASME Section III and VIII Divisions 1, 2, and 3 code requirements.
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and perform structural engineering activities in accordance with customer requirements, company objectives, and policies.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7 or more years of experience in applied structural mechanical analysis, specifically rotating equipment.
- Background working within a customer-oriented working environment.
- Knowledge of complex pump/seal/valve design, hydraulic drawings is a plus.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Extended knowledge of Microsoft office programs, 3D modeling software (SolidWorks), Finite element analysis packages (ANSYS), and ERP systems.
