Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and eager to contribute to a sustainable future? 

We are looking for a dedicated Service Engineer Mechanical to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining and repairing Wärtsilä OEM engines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The location for this position is in Budaörs, Hungary. 
 

Your role and responsibilities  

As a Service Engineer Mechanical, your work will focus on those responsibilities:

• Executing planned maintenances and repairing jobs on Wärtsilä OEM engines and its auxiliaries according to Wärtsilä instructions.
• Performing maintenance and repair jobs in relation to other products of Wärtsilä corporation.
• Use and maintain shop and field tools in accordance with good mechanical practices.
• Maintain the quality and efficiency of mechanical work performed (as measured by warranty costs), in accordance with manufacturers specifications and ISO procedures.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers.
• Fulfil tasks given by the Field Service Team Leader.

The following will enable you to shine in this role:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Previous experience in a related field along with proven experience in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Technical experience in marine engineering with practical problem-solving skills.
• A safety-first mind-set.
• Highly effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during work execution.
• Experience working with electrical systems would be beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
• Willing to travel approximately 80% of the time.
• Proficiency in Hungarian (native or fluent) and good English.
