Requirements

Representing the Company spirit at all times and providing professional and courteous serviceResponsible for ensuring a smooth operation of the entire Hotel department on boardActive involvement in daily operationsWelcoming and greeting of guests according to the Company standardEnsuring reaching constant higher guest satisfaction, including participating in additional Entertainment activities as per Company standardRetaining full knowledge of the Company standards and operating procedures and responsible for the implementation on boardConducting quality controls and spot checksDistributing information within the team and exchanging information between all departments with Nautical and Cruise DirectorTaking an active role in creating a positive environment between all departments onboard and encouraging an open and respectful communicationEnsuring a clear line of communication with all shore-side partners and the Head office Representing the onboard contact point for HR mattersMonitoring and supporting departmental trainingEvaluating Head of Departments and providing feedback to them, including performance-enhancing action plans if necessaryEnsuring Head of Departments are frequently evaluating their team members and providing feedback to crewmembers, including performance-enhancing action plans if necessarySupporting and encouraging talented crewmembers with further career steps, following the Company HR operating standardsEnsuring proper welcome and introduction to the team of new joining crewmembersMonitoring and ensuring necessary disciplinary actions are taken and administered according to the Company standardOrganizing daily meetings with Captain, Cruise Director and Head of DepartmentsEnsuring timely reporting to authorities Professionally cooperating with local authorities during inspections and audits.Ensuring that all reasonable guest requests are fulfilledBeing present during peak timesEditing the daily program in cooperation with the Cruise DirectorPublic speaking such as Welcome & Farewell speechesReaching cost and rating targets and implementing necessary improvements or actions if neededMonitoring the overall ship's vacation planMonitoring the duty schedule following legal requirementsFamiliar with all itinerary-related ports of call and shore excursionsMonitoring monthly inventories, purchase orders, and delivery controlPreparing and sending all cruise closings documents to the Head office on timeProper use of the onboard system Professional handling of guest complaints, including accurate reporting on e-logProofreading printed material which goes out to the guestsEnsuring proper welcome and introduction to the team of new joining crewmembersEnsuring embarking crewmembers have required documentationEnsuring no unauthorized persons are coming on boardResponsible for ensuring and maintaining cleanliness front and back of the house according to HACCP regulations, including monitoring the compliance with legal requirementsEnsuring proper use of storageEnsuring correct handling of all equipment, devices, and machinery and ensuring that defects are being reported via e-logParticipating in all Safety Drills as per Captain's orders and ensuring solid knowledge of designated Safety roleReporting any potential Safety hazards immediately to the CaptainEnsuring the Hotel department has a full understanding of the designated Safety role, duties, and in-port-manningMaintaining crew listSide Tasks
Participating in scheduled training, briefings, and meetingsPreparing of winter repair and maintenance listFulfilling further job-related duties such as luggage service, loading, and garbage off-loading Salary: starting salary in the first contract is 4.400€/month net
