Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role will involve supporting our clients throughout the entire lifecycle, including administrative, quotation, and order fulfillment phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team on various assignments and projects.
  • Develop expertise in the Customer Service functions of our ERP system.
  • Maintain customer data accurately.
  • Analyze individual customer requirements and direct activities to the relevant departments.
  • Prepare and submit daily customer service reports.
  • Process all fax, written, and web orders within our division's guidelines, ensuring timely communication of product availability to customers as required.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone in a professional and timely manner.
  • Efficiently and expertly handle customer complaints and tenders in accordance with our service level agreement.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and departmental training guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Hungarian, and Slovak.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate information over the phone.
  • Problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in their work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Judgment, tact, and subtlety when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently on daily routine tasks, as well as troubleshoot system issues.

Experience and Education

  • Relevant customer service experience is essential, preferably in a call center or office environment.
  • Experience with Oracle or SAP is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential.

Working Conditions

  • This role involves repetitive typing, significant phone interaction, and regular computer use.
  • The majority of physical demands are typical of those found in an office environment.
